“There will be plenty of opportunities for anyone who is brave enough to focus right now on creating innovative, quality, appreciated by the mainstream, user based products.
”
Lord of all things trademark, mills™ / Dr CHIEF WONKA™, is co-founder of ustwo™ and is just about to unleash Williow the Whale on us on 20th October. You can take a peek at the ustwo™ goings on in this video

I am the king of Succailure™ and the co-founder of the Studio of Dreams. I currently run the £650,000 ustwo™ own IP investment fund. This year we’ve made and launched three quality iOS products into the marketplace (or by next week we will have).

What’s your app of the moment?

I’ve been testing the neon masterpiece Forever Drive by Super Mono (@mrfungfung). Exclusively for iOS devices, Forever Drive is a racing game that makes you feel like you’re travelling through Tokyo in 100 years time. It’s an audio and visual feast. Put the headphones on and get juiced.

What is your primary phone?

Silly question, iPhone! Is there any other option? The iPhone was a game changer for our studio, allowing us to invest, create and distribute apps around the world via iTunes. My iPhone is like my own pocket rocket – it never lets me down.

Which mobile startups have you got your eye on?

I’m really liking appysnap by @paul_a_smith. It’s a simple idea done right, and it’s been a pleasure to watch it grow over the last 6 months. It’s about completing missions (pushed to you at relevant times) using your camera. I love the idea of users racing to be the first to capture the moment in question.

What are you currently working on?

Whale Trail. It’s an endless runner iOS casual premium game (69p) and is out on 20th October. We’ve spent £150,000 on creating a visual and playful journey through the sky, as a whale! This is our shot at the big time, and it’s going to make a very big splash, in the air.

What will be the biggest opportunity in 2012?

There will be plenty of opportunities for anyone who is brave enough to focus right now on creating innovative, quality, appreciated by the mainstream, user based products. Those who have the ability to promote this quality, will undoubtedly achieve a constantly flowing money tap in 2012.

Who are your 4 rockstars in mobile [hmmm, I'm sure I asked for 3]?

Alan Yu – @bluefintoro co-founder of NGMOCO. He co-created one of the most influential and game changing iOS game studios. They changed the world through freemium, and in my opinion made mobile gaming horny.
Lucas Buick – Hipstamatic co-founder. He reignited user passion in photography and focused on quality and design, with success being a direct consequence.
Mark Rein @MarkRein – Co-founder of EPIC. His studio proved that the world was ready and willing to digest premium 3D experiences on iOS devices. Triple A titles are not only coming to mobile, but have already arrived!
Dennis Crowley – @dens Foursquare. He personifies service and passion. I admire his efforts for continually pushing forward a serviced that will one day be a norm.
Who were you working for 10 years ago?

Bigamimal. I joined right after uni along with my best friend and co-founder of ustwo™, sinx. It was here we were introduced to the idea of product UI design and where we started our now, 12-year relationship, with SONY design centre in Japan.

Who was/is your best boss?

Dom Del Torto, Biganimal. He was my only ever boss, and he was the ultimate at his job because he didn’t boss, but instead he collaborated. He taught me that you can be part of, and run a studio, that is more fun than your real life. He was also insane and I love insane.

Who should we interview next?

Tristan Celder @zolmo_TC – co-founder of Zolmo. He conceived and created the apple award winning Jamie Oliver apps.
